Peyman Montazemi was born in 1975 - 1354 in Iran. He moved to Belgium – Belgique at the age of nine and stayed there for a period of 16 years. He has been living in the United States for the past five and a half years: two and a half years in Virginia and the past three years in Los Angeles – California. Peyman was raised in a family where art has always been present. He started his musical journey at the age of seven by playing the classical piano with his dear instructor Mrs. Barkeshli from the Art University of Tehran.

When moved to Belgium, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Brussels - Bruxelles in piano. At the age of 16, his interest in classical guitar started and he began studying guitar at the same institute. During that time, Peyman finished his studies in theory of music – solfège and in history of Western music. His singing carrier started naturally when taking music theory classes because these two are inseparable, he was 12 at that time. At the age of 18, he graduated in all four disciplines.
At the same age, Peyman started his new interest in Club music. Indeed Europe is well known for its House music, Trance music, and Disc Jockeys (DJ) since the early 1990’s. From then on, he started to get more and more interested in fast rhythms and upbeat musical styles, and not only in listening to them but also in mixing original beats as a DJ. For the love and passion he has for his country, he called himself DJ Peykan. During the same period, Peyman extended his guitar skills by starting on the electric guitar and was introduced to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music by his close friends.

Peyman Montazemi also studied in non-musical fields such as engineering. In fact, he graduated from high school in mathematics and he passed the entrance exam – concours for the Polytechnic School and entered the University of Brussels in 1995 - 1374. He obtained his first Masters of Science in Electromechanical Engineering in 2001 – 1380. He then obtained a scholarship – bourse from University of Virginia in the United States and started his studies in the Aerospace Department. Peyman obtained his second Masters of Science in 2003 in the field of Biomechanical Engineering. Then his journey to Los Angeles started where he entered a training program at UCLA in spinal-cord injury for an entire year. During that training, his interest in the Human nervous system increased appreciably to the point where Peyman started his Ph.D. - doctorat in the field of Biomedical Engineering at USC in 2004.
Ultimately, Peyman would like to help diminished people through charitable foundations around the world but until he gets the experience and the knowledge to help them through his science, he decided to help them meanwhile through the profits of his musical work, that he considers as being a science by itself.
